Job summary

GEMS Education UAE is seeking a Middle School Special Educator - Inclusion in Dubai to support students with additional learning needs. The role focuses on delivering targeted interventions, managing IEPs, differentiating instruction, and promoting inclusive practice within the middle school.

You will collaborate with teachers, parents, counsellors, therapists and specialists to translate assessments into practical support, monitor progress, and foster independence, confidence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in special education or learning support.
• Experience with Middle School students is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of IEPs and target setting.
• Ability to translate assessment findings into learning support.
• Collaborative with parents, teachers and specialists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and small-group interventions addressing academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Develop, monitor, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Establish measurable IEP targets and evaluate progress.
• Collaborate with subject teachers to implement differentiation and inclusive strategies.
• Support teachers in adapting materials and assessments.
• Promote inclusive participation in mainstream lessons and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student support and intervention schedules.
• Participate in student case reviews and parent meetings.
• Coordinate with counsellors, therapists and specialists to maintain consistent support.
• Contribute to school-wide inclusive education practices.
