Job summary

Qualifications

The Pricing Manager – Aftersales in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior automotive hiring opportunity responsible for developing customer‑focused pricing strategies across the business‑to‑consumer aftersales channel. The role manages retail price positioning, fixed‑price service offers, labour rates, discount structures, menu pricing, margin performance, and pricing governance across multiple automotive brands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Pricing in preparing quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long‑term aftersales pricing plans.
  • Develop budget assumptions covering retail prices, labour rates, service packages, discounts, revenue, and gross margin performance.

  • Improve service potential value in operation and overall gross margin performance through structured pricing decisions.
  • Identify price gaps, margin leakage, and commercial improvement opportunities through detailed analysis.
  • Prepare business cases showing the financial and customer impact of proposed pricing changes.
  • Use statistical analysis and visualisation tools to support evidence‑based pricing decisions.
  • Manage and continuously improve the menu pricing solution.
  • Validate newly introduced repair jobs, pricing logic, cost structures, and customer‑facing information.
  • Promote adoption of menu pricing across brands, workshops, and customer service channels.
  • Coordinate the inclusion of new automotive brands and service categories within menu pricing.
  • Support digital pricing initiatives that improve customer transparency and unlock additional margin opportunities.
  • Develop value‑based pricing strategies for targeted customer and vehicle segments.
  • Evaluate customer willingness to pay, vehicle age, service history, market competition, and retention objectives.
  • Design pricing propositions that improve conversion without weakening brand value or profitability.
  • Support the development and governance of customer goodwill policies.
  • Establish appropriate customer and business contribution ratios for eligible goodwill cases.
  • Monitor goodwill usage and recommend improvements to controls, consistency, and financial outcomes.
  • Develop, implement, and review labour pricing structures across brands and workshops.
  • Analyse technician costs, workshop efficiency, market rates, and customer sensitivity when recommending labour prices.
  • Ensure labour pricing supports productivity, competitiveness, and profit objectives.
  • Collaborate with Tier 1 and Tier 2 stakeholders to coordinate price positioning across related service channels.
  • Minimise customer and revenue cannibalisation while protecting gross margins.
  • Monitor aftersales revenue, gross profit, discounts, labour recovery, and pricing effectiveness.
  • Track recommended work conversion rates and analyse the impact of pricing on customer approval.
  • Identify customer drop‑off points and recommend actions to improve conversion.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools that provide clear visibility of pricing performance.
  • Present pricing trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex analysis into concise commercial messages for non‑technical audiences.
  • Maintain current business‑to‑consumer pricing standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure pricing procedures comply with operational, financial, brand, and governance requirements.
  • Review discount structures across all brands and customer groups.
  • Oversee staff discounts, promotional discounts, discretionary reductions, and special pricing arrangements.
  • Coordinate retail price revisions and ensure approved changes are implemented accurately and on time.
  • Manage cost changes and assess their impact on customer prices and gross margins.
  • Ensure new products, service jobs, and value‑added offerings are priced promptly across relevant channels.
  • Lead and manage the business‑to‑consumer aftersales pricing team.
  • Set clear objectives, key performance indicators, responsibilities, and development priorities.
  • Coach team members in pricing analysis, reporting, commercial judgement, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Promote accurate documentation, disciplined governance, and continuous process improvement.
  • Work effectively within a fast‑paced matrix organisation involving multiple brands and business units.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience within the automotive sector.
  • Previous experience in a multinational organisation, automotive distributor, or original equipment manufacturer is strongly preferred.
  • Practical background in aftersales pricing, commercial analysis, revenue management, or pricing strategy.
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on experience using analytical programming or statistical tools such as R or Python.
  • Knowledge of pricing analytics, elasticity, customer segmentation, margin analysis, and commercial modelling.
  • Experience using Tableau, Power BI, SAS, SAP Business Objects, or another data visualisation platform.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to develop pricing models, dashboards, forecasts, and business cases.
  • Strong understanding of automotive aftersales operations, labour pricing, service packages, and workshop economics.
  • Proven commercial mindset with an understanding of how pricing decisions affect customers, revenue, conversion, and profitability.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to identify patterns, test assumptions, and recommend evidence‑based actions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical analysis to non‑technical stakeholders.
