Job summary

Ingram Micro UAE seeks a Presales Consultant - Open Source / Virtualization to design, position, and adopt modern infrastructure solutions across the UAE. You will work with sales, vendors, and customers, delivering technical expertise on virtualization, cloud, and open-source technologies.

The role requires strong presentation and stakeholder-influence skills, with a focus on guiding customers from discovery through solution design, ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment with business goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a presales, solutions architect, systems engineer, or consulting role focused on virtualization, Linux, cloud, or open-source technologies.
• Strong knowledge of platforms such as Red Hat, Ubuntu, SUSE, OpenShift, Kubernetes, VMware, KVM, virtualization technologies, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Experience designing and presenting complex technical solutions while balancing customer requirements, business objectives, and technical feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical advisor for Open Source and Virtualization solutions, supporting customer engagements from discovery through solution design and proposal stages.
• Collaborate with sales teams, technology vendors, and partners to develop scalable infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, and automation architectures.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and solution assessments that address customer business challenges.
• Partner with customers to understand current environments and recommend solutions that improve performance, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
