Job summary

Uae Job Alert seeks a skilled Mechanical Technician – Energy to join our Dubai-based operations. The role focuses on inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting equipment used in power generation, including gas and steam turbines, boilers, and BOP systems.

Ideal candidates will hold a Mechanical Engineering diploma or trade certificate with strong maintenance experience in thermal or combined-cycle plants, and familiarity with GE Frame 9E/9FA turbines.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within thermal or combined-cycle power plants (Diploma holders).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience for Trade or Craft Certificate holders.
• Practical experience maintaining GE Frame 9E/9FA Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Waste Heat Boilers, Pumps, Compressors, Cooling Towers, RO plants, and Balance of Plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment within power generation facilities.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults to restore plant operations with minimal downtime.
• Assist engineering teams during planned shutdowns, major overhauls, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and investigate recurring mechanical issues to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and operations personnel to coordinate maintenance tasks.
