Qualifications

• Diploma or trade certificate in mechanical engineering or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Technical certifications in mechanical maintenance or power plant operations are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on mechanical equipment used in power generation facilities.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair turbines, boilers, pumps, compressors, cooling towers, and other plant equipment.
• Diagnose equipment faults and implement maintenance solutions to minimize downtime.
• Follow safety policies and environmental standards during maintenance tasks.
• Support equipment overhauls, shutdown activities, and planned maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to complete maintenance efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and report recurring issues with improvement recommendations.
• Supervise contractor activities during maintenance and repair work when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed safely following procedures and industry best practices.
