Job summary

Unilever seeks an Assistant Manager – Data & BI to own the commercial data and analytics ecosystem for the CBD function across GCC markets. You will manage data ingestion, ETL, modeling, and master data, turning data into reliable dashboards, automated reports and insights.

You will lead a small team of analysts and partner with CBDs and CSPs to support business reviews. The role involves hands-on development of Power BI platforms, data models, and machine-learning mapping pipelines, with

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business intelligence, commercial analytics or data roles, ideally in FMCG, retail or ecommerce.
• Strong command of Power BI (data modelling, DAX, Power Query) and SQL.
• Python for data processing, automation and ML (pandas, RapidFuzz, scikit‑learn).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or similar ETL tools; Databricks is a plus.
• Ability to explain data simply to non-technical and senior audiences; experience leading a small analytics team.
• Experience with GCC retailer sell-out data and syndicated data (Nielsen, Dunnhumby).

Responsibilities

• Lead data management and engineering across 1,700+ data files and datasets.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models.
• Oversee ETL pipelines and data quality checks.
• Manage and mentor a team of up to 6 analysts.
• Monitor data governance, security and access controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for Joint Business Planning and reviews.
• Identify opportunities for automation and AI-driven insights.
• Drive analytics roadmap and prioritize requests.
