Post-Contract Cost Manager — Construction Cost Lead

Job summary

JLL in Dubai is seeking a Cost Manager specialized in post-contract services to oversee commercial, cost elements from contract award through completion and final account settlement.

You will develop capabilities in contract administration, variation management, and cost performance analysis while supporting innovative post-contract delivery methodologies. Strong client-facing skills and MRICS/MCIOB ambition are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 2-3 years of post-contract cost management experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (JCT NEC FIDIC) and their commercial implications.
• Proven experience in variation management, payment certification and final account settlements.

Responsibilities

• Post-Contract Commercial Management
• Lead monthly payment assessments and valuations ensuring accurate measurement and certification of completed works
• Provisional Sum management
• Manage variation orders from inception through to agreement including cost analysis, change impact assessment and client negotiation
• Conduct regular cost monitoring and forecasting producing detailed cost reports and commercial dashboards for project stakeholders
• Oversee contract administration duties including extension of time assessments, compensation event evaluations and dispute resolution support
• Prepare comprehensive cash flow forecasts and monitor actual versus projected expenditure
• Develop and maintain project cost databases for benchmarking and future estimating purposes
• Collaborate with project management teams to integrate cost management with overall project delivery objectives
• Develop expertise in CostX, Microsoft Project and advanced Excel applications
