Job summary

Parsons is seeking a PMO Reporting Manager to lead project controls and reporting in Abu Dhabi Emirate, UAE. This role requires an experienced professional to develop PMO dashboards, manage portfolio reporting, and oversee KPI management across major projects.

Job Overview

PMO Reporting Manager – Controls is a Civil Engineering opportunity in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates. The role is for an experienced project controls and reporting professional who can lead PMO dashboards, portfolio reporting, KPI management, analytics, and executive performance reporting across major projects and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and standardize PMO reports, dashboards, KPI packs, executive summaries, and portfolio-level reporting templates.
  • Consolidate project data from multiple workstreams into clear performance reports covering schedule, cost, risk, change, progress, and key delivery issues.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad‑hoc reports that present accurate project status, trends, forecasts, risks, and management actions.
  • Align reporting outputs with project controls processes, including planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, change control, and performance measurement.
  • Coordinate with project controls teams to ensure reporting data is integrated, consistent, validated, and suitable for senior decision‑making.
  • Manage and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, analytics models, and supporting data systems used by the PMO.
  • Build and improve automated data models and reporting dashboards to reduce manual effort, improve cycle time, and increase reporting accuracy.
  • Define and enforce data quality standards covering validation, completeness, accuracy, consistency, ownership, timeliness, and reporting governance.
  • Act as the focal point for PMO reporting and communicate key trends, risks, issues, performance gaps, and corrective actions to leadership.
  • Train and support project teams on reporting standards, dashboard use, data submission requirements, and PMO reporting best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, insight quality, data visualization, dashboard usability, and executive communication.
  • Prepare clear presentations and analytical summaries for senior stakeholders, highlighting critical project performance signals and emerging risks.
  • Support cost, schedule, risk, and earned value reporting by coordinating data inputs from planning, commercial, finance, project management, and controls teams.
  • Monitor reporting compliance across projects and follow up with teams to close gaps in data quality, delayed submissions, or inconsistent formats.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve reporting structure, portfolio visibility, and management confidence in project performance information.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in project controls, PMO reporting, project reporting, or programme performance management on major projects or programs.
  • Strong experience producing portfolio reports, executive dashboards, KPI packs, performance summaries, and senior stakeholder presentations.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI and Excel for analytics, dashboard development, data modelling, reporting automation, and performance visualization.
  • Familiarity with cost management systems, ERP platforms, Earned Value Management, project controls tools, and integrated reporting environments.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, gaps, risks, and inconsistencies.
  • Good understanding of schedule, cost, risk, change, progress measurement, forecasting, and project performance reporting.
  • Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to report confidently to senior stakeholders and project leadership.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to work under time pressure while maintaining accuracy and reporting discipline.
  • Collaborative working style with strong stakeholder management, teamwork, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
  • Ability to train project teams, improve reporting standards, and support consistent adoption of PMO processes.
