Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) is seeking a senior PMO professional to lead governance across the Central PMO, partnering with stakeholders to embed new operating models and processes. The role focuses on establishing templates, RACI, reporting frameworks and ongoing education across governance artefacts.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in PMO settings within large financial services, with PMP/Prince2/Agile PMO certification and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• University degree in Technology, Management or equivalent.
• MBA or equivalent master’s degree preferred.
• Banking/Financial Services experience
• Certification in project mgmt. (PMP, Prince 2, Agile PMO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define roles, templates and masterplan at portfolio and project level.
• Define and maintain the RACI matrix for the Central PMO and stakeholders.
• Define and maintain project reporting categories and tiers.
• Own the development and maintenance of the Business Case Document.
• Create content and progress updates for ExCo Committees.
• Ensure clear templates for reporting status to portfolios across governance forums.
• Provide guidance to Portfolio heads on processes during project execution.
• Support continuous improvements across CPMO.
• Define and evaluate best practice portfolio tools, processes and policies.
• Define strategy to move CPMO towards best-in-class ways of working.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support CPMO maturity assessments and KPIs.
• Define and maintain PMO processes aligned with the PMO Playbook.

Generic Accountability

Someone undertaking this role is primarily tasked with engaging multiple stakeholders across all departments of the bank and work closely them to create, pilot, embed and refine all aspects of Central PMO related governance including tooling, process and related policy changes, ceremonies, publish terms of reference and orchestrate education and awareness sessions on all artefacts being created and published by Central PMO.

This person will work with multiple functions and related team members to co-create and then embed the new operating model and ways of working as envisaged for the bank’s project management processes and governance frameworks

Additionally, generic responsibilities to support the Head of Reporting & Governance

• Support in defining the roles, templates and masterplan at portfolio and project level
• Defines and maintain the RACI matrix for the Central PMO and stakeholders interacting with the Central PMO
• Defines and maintains overall project reporting categories and tiers
• Owns the development and maintenance of the Business Case Document
• Create content and progress updated for relevant ExCo Committees
• Ensure clear templates are available for reporting status to all portfolios at all respective governance forums
• Provides guidance and support to Portfolio heads on processes to use during project execution

Additionally, should support continuous improvements efforts across CPMO

• Define and evaluate best practice portfolio mgmt tools, processes and policies
• Define strategy to move FAB CPMO towards best in class ways of working
• Foster a Culture and environment of continuous improvement
• Supports the creation of and roll-out CPMO maturity assessment and KPIs
• Specific Accountability
• Define, ensure adherence to, and maintain PMO processes, as well as ensure continuous alignment with standard PMO Playbook published for the bank
• Supports the creation and maintenance of all PMO processes to use from project initiation to closure including the overall RACI matrix. Ensures related Bank’s processes are updated to reflect CPMO involvement & remit.
• Works as a custodian of PMO processes and ensuring they are up to date and used by all stakeholders.

Minimum Qualification

• University degree in Technology, Management or equivalent
• MBA or equivalent master’s degree is preferred
• Should have experience of working in Banking Financial Services
• Certification in project mgmt. is a must (e.g. PMP, Prince 2, Agile PMO)

Minimum Experience

• Total experience of 10 years with atleast 5 years of experience in a PMO environment and embedding portfolio governance at an enterprise level in a large Financial Services organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications; PowerPoint, Excel, etc
• Experience with data handling and analysis tools such as Power BI
• Experience with various project delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid)
• Experience in implementation project management processes
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and deliver within tight deadlines
