Job summary

Client of Carter Knight is seeking a Project Manager to drive a high-profile transformation programme in Abu Dhabi. The role sits at the intersection of delivery and governance, coordinating multi-workstream efforts and reporting to senior leadership.

The successful candidate will lead complex projects, prepare Board-ready updates, and provide decision support to executives while relocating to Abu Dhabi to join the team on site.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in project or programme management.
• Proven record delivering complex transformation or strategic initiatives.
• Experience preparing executive and Board-level reporting.
• PM certifications (PMP/PRINCE2) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of complex transformation projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage dependencies.
• Prepare Board-level reports, dashboards, and executive updates.
• Translate complex operational information into clear, decision-ready insights.

This is a key role sitting at the intersection of delivery and governance, responsible for leading complex multi‑workstream projects while providing high‑quality reporting and decision support to senior leadership and Board‑level stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a central role in driving programme delivery, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring effective governance across strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and delivery of complex transformation projects from initiation through to completion.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage programme dependencies, and drive delivery against key milestones.
• Prepare Board‑level reports, dashboards, briefing papers and executive updates.
• Translate complex operational information into clear, concise and decision‑ready insights.
• Oversee programme governance, issue management, change control and project reporting.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• 8‑12 years of experience in project or programme management.
• Proven track record delivering complex transformation or strategic initiatives.
• Strong experience preparing executive and Board‑level reporting.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Background within consulting, government, professional services, or large‑scale transformation programmes is preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is advantageous.
