Job summary

Client of First Medical Center in Abu Dhabi seeks an Associate Staff Physician specializing in Plastic Surgery to provide surgical assessment, treatment planning and operative and postoperative care for reconstructive or other plastic procedures.

The successful candidate will work closely with surgical colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centred care, with UAE licensing eligibility, and a focus on ethical practice and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Recognized Plastic Surgery specialist qualification or equivalent.
• Licence eligibility or active UAE health authority licence.
• Strong clinical judgment and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and determine appropriate surgical or non-surgical treatment options.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient needs and expected outcomes.
• Perform plastic and reconstructive surgical procedures within the physician's training and approved clinical privileges.
• Provide preoperative counselling and explain the benefits, risks and potential complications of proposed procedures.
• Manage postoperative care, wound assessment and follow-up.
• Recognize and manage complications and arrange specialist support when required.
• Coordinate care with other surgical specialties, nursing teams and allied healthcare professionals.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality-improvement activities and professional education.
