Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai seeks an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join our leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate has reconstructive and/or aesthetic expertise, with exceptional surgical skills and a patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities include consultations, planning, performing reconstructive and aesthetic procedures, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Plastic Surgery / Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Plastic, Reconstructive, Aesthetic, or Microsurgery is an advantage.
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist/consultant qualification.
• Minimum 5–10 years of post-specialization experience in Plastic Surgery.
• Strong experience in reconstructive and/or aesthetic plastic surgery.

• Conduct comprehensive consultations, assessments, and surgical planning for plastic and reconstructive surgery patients.
• Perform a wide range of reconstructive and aesthetic surgical procedures.
• Manage patients requiring reconstruction following trauma, cancer surgery, burns, congenital conditions, or other tissue defects.
• Perform facial and body contouring procedures where appropriately trained.
• Manage complex wounds, soft-tissue defects, and post-surgical complications.
• Perform breast reconstruction and other reconstructive procedures as applicable to clinical expertise.
• Evaluate patients for cosmetic procedures and provide counselling on risks, benefits, and outcomes.
• Provide pre-operative assessment, informed consent, and comprehensive post-operative follow-up.
• Monitor surgical outcomes and manage post-operative complications.
• Work with multidisciplinary specialists.
• Maintain medical records and ensure governance and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, teaching, research, and CME.

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in reconstructive and/or aesthetic plastic surgery, with excellent surgical skills and a patient-centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations, assessments, and surgical planning for plastic and reconstructive surgery patients.
• Perform a wide range of reconstructive and aesthetic surgical procedures within the scope of expertise.
• Manage patients requiring reconstruction following trauma, cancer surgery, burns, congenital conditions, or other tissue defects.
• Perform facial and body contouring procedures where appropriately trained.
• Manage complex wounds, soft-tissue defects, and post-surgical complications.
• Perform breast reconstruction and other reconstructive procedures as applicable to clinical expertise.
• Evaluate patients for cosmetic procedures and provide appropriate counselling regarding risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
• Provide pre-operative assessment, informed consent, and comprehensive post-operative follow-up.

• Work closely with oncologists, breast surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, maxillofacial surgeons, dermatologists, and other multidisciplinary specialists.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical governance and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical audits, teaching, research, and CME activities.

• Eligible for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai.
