Key Responsibilities
- Perform reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures in line with accepted surgical standards, patient safety requirements, and clinical guidelines.
- Provide pre-operative consultations, clinical assessments, surgical planning, informed consent support, and patient education.
- Deliver post-operative care, wound review, recovery monitoring, and follow-up support to ensure patient comfort, healing, and satisfaction.
- Manage reconstructive cases involving trauma, deformities, soft tissue repair, scars, functional restoration, and related surgical needs.
- Perform cosmetic procedures based on patient suitability, expected outcomes, ethical practice, and safe surgical decision-making.
- Collaborate with anesthesiology, dermatology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, nursing, rehabilitation, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans that address patient goals, medical condition, procedural risks, and long-term care needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, consent documentation, follow-up plans, and clinical progress reports.
- Stay updated with advancements in plastic surgery techniques, surgical technology, aesthetic procedures, and reconstructive care.
- Educate patients clearly on procedures, expected results, possible risks, recovery timelines, and post-surgical instructions.
- Participate in medical conferences, training programs, clinical learning activities, and professional development initiatives.
Ideal Profile
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Plastic Surgery.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon.
- Proven experience in both reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery procedures.
- Strong surgical judgment with the ability to assess patient suitability and manage complex cases safely.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient consultation and multidisciplinary teamwork.
