Job summary

NSR Associates, Dubai-based engineering consultancy, is seeking a Project Planner to lead the full project scheduling from concept through completion. You will develop detailed programs using Primavera P6 or MS Project and coordinate with PMs, engineering, and site teams to align milestones and resources.

You will regularly update schedules, prepare look-ahead plans, monitor the critical path, and produce dashboards and variance analyses to support project decisions. UAE experience is preferred.

Job description

We are working with an Engineering Consultancy based in Dubai. They boast an impressive portfolio of large scale Build projects including Residential, Hotels, Commercial developments all across the UAE.

Due to continued growth and multiple new project awards they are looking for a Project Planner to join the team.

PROJECT PLANNER - JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and controlling the full project schedule from concept to completion.
  • Develops detailed project programs using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Prepares and submits baseline schedules aligned with drawings, BOQ, manpower, materials, and contract milestones.
  • Updates the project schedule weekly and monthly, reflecting accurate site progress.
  • Prepares 1-week, 2-week, and monthly look-ahead schedules for site and engineering teams.
  • Monitors and updates the critical path, identifying risks, delays, and constraints early.
  • Coordinates closely with the Project Manager, Engineering, QS, and Site Team to ensure accurate planning inputs.
  • Communicates consistently with Procurement and Logistics to align long-lead items, material orders, production timelines, and deliveries.
  • Tracks all submittals, approvals, fabrication stages, and delivery commitments.
  • Integrates procurement and logistics timelines directly into the project schedule.
  • Flags delayed approvals, late deliveries, and long-lead risks early to prevent impact on execution.
  • Attends internal and external progress meetings and presents clear schedule updates and forecasts.
  • Prepares S-curves, dashboards, progress charts, variance analysis, and planning reports.
  • Maintains complete, accurate, and auditable planning documentation (logs, revisions, snapshots, delay reports).
  • Identifies schedule risks and recommends mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Supports delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and documentation for claims and EOT submissions.
  • Ensures schedules comply with client requirements, contractual obligations, and internal procedures.
  • Maintains high accuracy in all planning outputs — no guesswork, no inflated reporting.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of planning tools, templates, and project control processes.
  • Skilled in communication, coordination, reporting, and managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience as a Project Planner (UAE experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Solid understanding of construction sequencing, procurement workflows, logistics integration, and site operations.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-driven, and capable of working under pressure
