Job summary

NRTC Group is seeking a PIC3 Certified QC Specialist to oversee day-to-day fresh-produce quality control across inbound receiving, storage and dispatch, while serving as a Learning & Development resource for associates. This role supports the Supervisor with technical quality guidance, training, records and escalation; it is not a direct associate-management position.

Qualifications

• Valid PIC3 Certification – mandatory.
• Hands-on Fresh Fruit & Vegetables industry experience with grading, handling and quality assessment.
• Understanding of produce defects, temperature control, hygiene, traceability, and food-safety documentation.
• Ability to train associates and clearly communicate product-acceptability decisions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inbound, storage, dispatch and GMP activities are updated daily in the Dubai Municipality Foodwatch portal.
• Enforce food-safety, hygiene and temperature-control requirements throughout the fresh-produce flow.
• Block expired products from cross-dock flow and escalate non-compliance immediately.
• Audit segregation controls for ethylene-sensitive items, strong-odour products, ready-to-eat items and allergens.
• Verify dock-level sampling and receiving checks including vehicle GMP and temperature.
• Document PO discrepancies with timestamp and photos; provide clear evidence.
• Track inbound volume and rejection data; maintain records on vendor quality trends.
• Conduct shift-based daily quality huddles and train associates on F&V handling and standards.
• Calibrate scales, thermometers and devices; maintain calibration logbook and records.
