Job summary

Novo Nordisk A/S in Dubai seeks a Pharmacovigilance Specialist to ensure safety information about Novo products is collected, assessed and reported in line with local and global regulatory requirements, directly protecting patients.

You will act as the QPPV for UAE, maintain the PV system, oversee ADR reporting, deliver PV onboarding training, manage safety data exchanges and ensure PSURs and RMPs are submitted on time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Knowledge of local/global pharmacovigilance regulations.
• Sound understanding of PV Agreement lifecycles.
• High level of computer literacy, including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Reporting of ADRs to Global Safety & UAE EDE within set timelines.
• Handling technical complaints.

• Timely submission of PSURs and RMPs to local authority.
• Daily check and review of the local PV Safety Mailbox.
• Local requirements process is executed timely and effectively.

In this role, you will be at the intersection of science, regulation and patient care - playing a critical part in how Novo monitors, evaluates and acts on safety data across our growing portfolio.

Your new role

As a Pharmacovigilance Specialist based in the UAE, you will be responsible for ensuring that safety information about Novo Nordisk products is collected, assessed and reported in compliance with local and global regulatory requirements. You will work in a dynamic environment where the portfolio is expanding rapidly, and your expertise directly protects patients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Acting as the QPPV for Novo products in UAE.
• Maintenance of the PV system within the affiliate in accordance with internal SOPs and local regulations.
• Reporting of ADRs to Global Safety & UAE EDE within set timelines.
• Handling technical complaints.
• Periodic training of NN UAE employees on the handling of safety information.
• Provision of PV onboarding training to external vendors, such as those involved with PSPs and MRPs.
• Managing Safety Data exchange Agreements with partners.
• Timely submission of PSURs and RMPs to local authority.
• Daily check and review of the local PV Safety Mailbox
• Local requirements process is executed timely and effectively

Your new department

MRPV department is including medical affairs function responsible of all medical activities in the affiliate and the Regulatory Affairs & Pharmacovigilance functions responsible for all the regulatory activities related to the registration of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, keeping their life cycle management and the reporting the customer complaints, adverse events and submission of Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs) and Risk Management Plan (RMPs) to the local authority.

Your skills & qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have the following:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance

Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic

Has knowledge of local/global pharmacovigilance regulations.

Sound understanding and experience of Pharmacovigilance Agreement lifecycles

High level of computer literacy, including MS Office

Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with all levels within the organisation; strong collaborator with proven customer and stakeholder management skills

Ability to independently prioritise and manage workload to meet deadlines

Ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously

Ability to manage operational PV tasks while contributing to the business strategy

Ability to review and simplify operational activities to find efficiencies
