Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi invites nursing professionals with at least three years of post-graduate experience in PACU/Prep Recovery to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role provides direct and indirect patient care across ages, using evidence-based nursing practices in a family-centered care setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a current national license, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS/PALS. English fluency is required; Arabic language skills are an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum three-year nursing curriculum.
• Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in a general surgery/operating room setting.
• Valid and current national nursing license.
• BLS from AHA or equivalent, or obtained within 3 months.
• ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty, or obtained within 6 months.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plans, and updates plans of care.
• Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes with family-centered care.
• Monitors and documents patient’s condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
• Assesses educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs.
• Provides teaching materials to the patient and/or significant others as appropriate.
• Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
• Administers prescribed medications following policies, using barcode scanning.
• Carries out prescribed treatments under policies and procedures.
