Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi invites nursing professionals with at least three years of post-graduate experience in PACU/Prep Recovery to join our Abu Dhabi team. The role provides direct and indirect patient care across ages, using evidence-based nursing practices in a family-centered care setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a current national license, and certifications such as BLS and ACLS/PALS. English fluency is required; Arabic language skills are an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum three-year nursing curriculum.
• Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in a general surgery/operating room setting.
• Valid and current national nursing license.
• BLS from AHA or equivalent, or obtained within 3 months.
• ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty, or obtained within 6 months.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic language is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.

• Administers prescribed medications following policies, using barcode scanning.
• Carries out prescribed treatments under policies and procedures.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care by applying evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages in assigned nursing units. This position is also responsible for demonstrating competency in treating patients' behavioral, growth, development and psychosocial needs.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care
• Monitors and documents patients’ condition and effectiveness of care and interventions
• Assesses the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns
• Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant as appropriate
• Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching
• Administers prescribed medications following approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
• Carries out prescribed treatments under approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
• A minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required
• Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in a general surgery/operating room setting is required
• Valid and current national license is required
• BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment
• ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred
