Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi LLC is seeking a qualified nurse to deliver general and specialized patient care across ages in assigned units. You will apply evidence-based nursing procedures, monitor outcomes, and educate patients and families within a patient-first framework.

Role requires ICU/OR-related experience, a current nursing license, and proficiency in English. Strong communication, teamwork, and EMR skills are essential; BLS and ACLS/PALS within specified timelines are required or

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent is required.
A minimum three year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required.
Minimum of two years post-graduate experience in General Surgery / operating room setting is required.
Valid and current national license is required.
BLS is required from AHA or equivalent, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty is required, from AHA or equivalent, or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Completes timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plans, and updates plan of care based on individual patient needs.
Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care.
Monitors and documents patients’ condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
Assesses the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns.
Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant others as appropriate.
Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
Administers prescribed medications by approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning.
Carries out prescribed treatments by approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures.
Uses knowledge of one’s role and others’ roles to address healthcare needs.
Demonstrates commitment to evidence-based practice care by adhering to protocols and evaluating outcomes.
Delegates components of the nursing care plan to other members of the nursing team.
Maintains confidentiality and promotes professional interdisciplinary communication.
Respects Patient Rights and demonstrates Patient First Philosophy.
Incorporates the CCAD Practice model and patient safety principles.
Reports errors and near-misses.
Completes charge capture education and in-service training; when not automatic, completes in Epic within 24 business hours.
