Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi invites nursing professionals with at least three years of post-graduate experience in PACU/Prep Recovery to join our Abu Dhabi team.

This role provides general and specialized direct and indirect patient care across ages, applying evidence-based practices and addressing behavioral and psychosocial needs. English fluency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent required.
• Minimum of a 3-year nursing curriculum from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience in general surgery/OR setting.
• Valid and current national nursing license required.
• BLS certified per AHA or equivalent within 3 months.
• ACLS/PALS relevant to specialty within 6 months.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• Arabic language skills preferred but not mandatory.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing general and specialized direct and indirect patient care by applying evidence-based nursing procedures and practices to patients of all ages in assigned nursing units. This position is also responsible for demonstrating competency in treating patients' behavioral, growth, development and psychosocial needs.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Completes timely patient admission and ongoing assessments, plans, and updates plans of
• care based on individual patient needs
• Provides direct care and evaluates outcomes, incorporating principles of family-centered care
• Monitors and documents patients’ condition and effectiveness of care and interventions
• Assesses the educational needs of patients and significant others considering cultural needs and other special concerns
• Provides teaching and educational material to the patient and/or significant as appropriate
• Validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching
• Administers prescribed medications following approved policies and protocols, utilizing barcode scanning
• Carries out prescribed treatments under approved policies, protocols, and educational material procedures

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required
• A minimum three (3) year curriculum in Nursing from an accredited program is required
• Minimum of two (2) years post-graduate experience in a general surgery/operating room setting is required
• Valid and current national license is required
• BLS is required from AHA or an equivalent organization, or must be obtained within 3 months of employment
• ACLS, PALS relevant to the area of specialty is required, from AHA or an equivalent organization; or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Experience with electronic medical records is strongly preferred
• The ability to speak and write in Arabic is preferred but not mandatory
