Job summary

Black Pearl Consult is advertising an Operating Room Nurse position for a Dubai-based hospital. The role supports perioperative care across surgical specialties in a modern operating theatre, spanning scrub, circulating, and recovery duties.

We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a Western institution, a DHA license (or eligibility), and BLS; ACLS/PALS are a plus. A minimum of two years’ OR experience and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized Western institution (e.g., UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Current or eligible DHA license (Dubai Health Authority).
• BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques, surgical safety protocols, and OR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across various surgical specialties.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of the operating room before, during, and after surgery.
• Ensure sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies are organized and accounted for.
• Function as scrub nurse, circulating nurse, or in recovery as assigned.
• Monitor patients throughout perioperative phases, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the wider surgical team.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and safety standards.
• Support infection control measures and participate in quality improvement initiatives in the OR.
