Job summary

Halian is seeking a Robotics Engineer (Perception) in Abu Dhabi to design, implement, and validate perception capabilities for autonomous robotics platforms. You will work with C++ on ROS1/ROS2, applying OpenCV, PCL, Open3D, PyTorch, and TensorRT to build reliable perception pipelines.

Responsibilities include enhancing object detection, segmentation, and multi-object tracking, plus sensor fusion with LiDAR and cameras.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, CS, or related field.
4+ years of real-time perception or CV experience.
Proficient in C++ with ROS1/ROS2.
Experience with perception frameworks such as OpenCV, PCL, Open3D, PyTorch, TensorRT.
Experience with LiDAR processing, sensor calibration, and multi-sensor fusion.
Familiarity with LiDAR and monocular/stereo cameras; sensor modalities.
Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance perception capabilities: object detection, semantic segmentation, multi-object tracking.
Adapt and extend perception functionality for new platforms and environments.
Develop modular C++ software following ROS1/ROS2 standards; write clean code.
Collaborate with other engineering functions for integration and performance.
Conduct field testing, validation, and tuning of perception features in real-world environments.
Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
