Job summary

Halian is seeking a Robotics Engineer (Perception) to develop and maintain perception capabilities on an autonomous robotics platform. You will work on object detection, segmentation, tracking, and LiDAR-based understanding to support reliable autonomous operation.

The role emphasizes clean C++ software following ROS1/ROS2, sensor calibration, and cross-functional collaboration; you will test in real-world environments, review code, and document technical details.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, CS, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience developing real-time perception or computer vision solutions.
• Strong C++ proficiency with ROS1/ROS2.
• Experience with OpenCV, PCL, Open3D, PyTorch, TensorRT.
• Experience with LiDAR processing, sensor calibration, obstacle detection.
• Familiarity with LiDAR and monocular/stereo cameras.
• Experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD.
• Ability to work across multiple robotic platforms and environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance perception capabilities including object detection, segmentation and tracking.
• Adapt perception functions for new robotic platforms and environments.
• Develop modular, efficient C++ software following ROS1/ROS2 standards.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams for system integration.
• Conduct field testing, validation and tuning of perception features.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation.
