Job summary

Noorex in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a hands-on Perception Engineer to design, build and deploy the perception stack for autonomous vehicles operating in harsh environments. You will turn sensor data into a reliable world view, driving navigation and planning with on-vehicle inference and real-world testing.

You will work with ROS/ROS 2, SLAM, sensor fusion and edge hardware, owning features from prototype to deployment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building perception systems on real robots or vehicles.
• Strong computer vision skills for live sensor feeds.
• Hands-on experience with SLAM, point cloud processing and multi-sensor calibration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy the perception stack across camera, LiDAR and radar inputs.
• Develop object detection, tracking and segmentation for harsh outdoor/industrial settings.
• Build localisation and mapping in GPS-denied areas.
• Fuse multi-sensor data into a unified, real-time environmental model for planning.
