Job summary

Halian is seeking a Robotics Engineer specializing in Perception in Abu Dhabi to develop and optimize perception capabilities for autonomous robotics systems. You will work on real-time perception, LiDAR and camera fusion, and ensure reliable environment understanding for autonomous operation.

The role emphasizes strong C++ and ROS1/ROS2 expertise, hands-on experience with OpenCV, PCL, Open3D, PyTorch, and TensorRT, and collaboration across engineering teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics/CS or related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in real-time perception or computer vision.
Strong proficiency in C++ with hands-on ROS1/ROS2 experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance perception capabilities, including object detection.
Semantic segmentation and multi-object tracking.
LiDAR-based terrain and environment understanding.
Adapt perception for new robotic platforms and environments.
Develop modular, efficient C++ software with ROS1/ROS2 standards.
Perform field testing, validation, and tuning of perception features.
Participate in code reviews and maintain documentation.
