Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Painting Foreman to oversee and coordinate painting and coating operations in oil & gas, petrochemical, and live power plant projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in painting applications, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and quality compliance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily painting, blasting, and coating activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Monitor surface preparation and coating application processes in line with NACE / BGAS quality standards.
  • Assign tasks, monitor crew performance, and ensure adherence to project timelines and productivity targets.
  • Conduct quality checks, inspections, and ensure proper documentation of work progress.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols, conducting toolbox talks and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Review and interpret drawings, technical procedures, and client specifications related to painting activities.
  • Coordinate with QA / QC inspectors, clients, and site engineers to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Maintain records of material usage, equipment condition, and workforce allocation.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior personnel to maintain high-quality workmanship.
  • Report daily progress and challenges to site supervisors and project managers.
Essential Qualifications
  • 3-year Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Coating Technology or related field.
  • NACE Level 1 or BGAS 2 Certification (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as Painting Foreman / JP in oil & gas, petrochemical, or live power plant projects.
Skills Required
  • Strong knowledge of industrial painting processes, coating systems, and surface preparation methods.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to supervise multicultural workforces.
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail in quality assurance.
  • Physically fit with good health to handle site conditions.
