Job summary
AtkinsRéalis in Abu Dhabi seeks an Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) for overground metro station projects. You will support the Resident Engineer in supervising civil, structural, architectural, MEP works, testing, commissioning and handover, ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, safety and client requirements.
You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, review shop drawings, assist in contract administration, and help manage quality, HSE, and interfaces with adjacent packages, vendors, and
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering certification preferred.
- 10–15 years of construction supervision and project delivery.
- 5+ years on metro, rail, transit, or major transportation infra projects.
- GCC/UAE experience preferred.
- Experience with PMC/Engineer/Consultant organizations desirable.
Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising overground metro station construction works.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and review drawings and specs.
- Monitor QA/QC, HSE, and permit-to-work processes.
- Support contract administration including shop drawings and RFIs.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Prepare and review site progress reports and records.
- Highlight risks and mitigation measures to the Resident Engineer.
