Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) to oversee overground metro station construction, testing and handover. You will supervise civil, structural, architectural and MEP works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, safety and client requirements.

The role requires 15+ years in construction supervision, with at least 5 years on metro or rail projects, GCC/UAE experience preferred. Strong coordination, reporting and contract administration skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in civil/structural/construction engineering or related field.
Professional Engineering certification is preferred.
Minimum 15+ years of overall construction supervision experience.
At least 5 years on metro/rail/transit or major transportation projects.

Responsibilities

Supervise overground metro station construction works from start to handover.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure works meet drawings, specs and schedules.
Review shop drawings, method statements, RFIs and submittals.
Support testing, commissioning and snagging activities.
Prepare site progress reports and highlight risks to the Resident Engineer.
