Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) for overseeing the construction and handover of elevated and at-grade metro station works in the UAE. You will supervise civil, structural, architectural, and MEP activities in alignment with project specs, drawings, and safety standards.

The role requires 15+ years in construction supervision, with at least 5 years in rail/metro projects, GCC/UAE experience preferred, and familiarity with FIDIC contracts and interface management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineering certification preferred.
• 15+ years of overall experience in construction supervision and project delivery.
• At least 5 years on metro, rail, transit, or major transport projects.
• GCC/UAE experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising overground metro station construction works.
• Monitor contractor activities for compliance with drawings, specs, methods, and schedules.
• Supervise station civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works across all construction phases.
• Review construction methodologies and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
• Coordinate site inspections and verify work is completed per contract requirements.
