Role Description

The Optometrist - Optical Sales role is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Arab Emirates. The Optometrist will support optical sales by recommending suitable frames and lenses, explaining product features, and ensuring that customers receive accurate fittings and adjustments. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, collaborating with sales and retail staff, and ensuring that all clinical and retail operations comply with professional standards and local regulations. The role also includes educating customers on eye health, promoting relevant optical products and services, and contributing to a positive, customer-focused store environment.

Qualifications

• Professional optometry skills, including conducting eye exams, diagnosing vision conditions, and prescribing lenses and other corrective solutions.
• Customer service and optical retail skills, such as product recommendation, assisting with frame selection, and managing sales transactions in a retail environment.

• Relevant academic qualification in Optometry or a related field, with valid professional licensure or eligibility to practice in the United Arab Emirates.
• Experience in optical retail or clinic settings, with familiarity in using optometric equipment and optical measurement tools.
• Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple customers, and contribute to sales and revenue growth.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage, as is prior experience in the Gulf region or similar markets.
