Country: United Arab Emirates | City: Dubai | Salary: 22,000–32,000 (estimated; confirm final offer with employer)
Role Context
The Operations Performance Manager will own the commercial and performance framework supporting talabat UAE's delivery operations. This includes cost per order, rider costs, third‑party logistics economics, operational budgets, performance forecasts, efficiency measures, and the key indicators influencing the operations profit and loss statement. The position will work directly with operations, finance, commercial, product, and senior leadership teams. Rather than managing every execution team directly, the manager will influence decisions through strong analysis, commercial judgment, credible recommendations, and trusted stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the commercial performance framework for talabat UAE operations.
- Monitor cost per order, rider costs, staffing efficiency, and other operational cost drivers.
- Track operational budgets against actual performance and explain material variances.
- Identify where margin is gained, reduced, or exposed to operational risk.
- Protect sustainable rider and third‑party logistics partner earnings while improving efficiency.
- Present clear trade‑offs between operational cost, business growth, service quality, and customer experience.
- Maintain the UAE operations KPI framework from forecast through actual performance.
- Anticipate performance gaps before they affect the operational profit and loss statement.
- Design and coordinate interventions to close identified performance gaps.
- Prepare executive reports, performance reviews, and decision‑ready management updates.
- Lead optimization initiatives across rider economics, workforce planning, vendor performance, service coverage, and area‑level operations.
- Identify operational processes that create unnecessary cost, delays, or service deterioration.
- Quantify improvement opportunities and build evidence‑based recommendations.
- Develop business cases for strategic operational projects.
- Design pilots, define success measures, assess results, and scale successful initiatives.
- Analyse complex financial and operational models to understand underlying performance drivers.
- Challenge assumptions, test model sensitivity, and validate conclusions before recommendations are presented.
- Build analytical models, dashboards, and reporting tools that accelerate decision‑making.
- Translate detailed data into concise conclusions, priorities, and management actions.
- Use SQL and BigQuery to investigate operational data where appropriate.
- Develop or improve reporting through Looker, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
- Partner with operations, product, commercial, finance, logistics, and technology teams.
- Manage cross‑functional dependencies and maintain accountability for project outcomes.
- Engage confidently with directors, vice presidents, and other senior stakeholders.
- Defend recommendations with evidence while remaining open to constructive challenge.
- Track agreed actions through completion rather than transferring unresolved issues to other teams.
- Prepare for potential future responsibility for one or two direct reports.
Ideal Profile
- Minimum 4 years of experience in operations, commercial management, business strategy, management consulting, or a related field.
- Experience in a marketplace, logistics, delivery, e‑commerce, or quick‑commerce environment is preferred.

- Ability to communicate complex findings through concise reports and presentations.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional optimization or transformation projects.
