Job summary

talabat UAE seeks an Operations Performance Manager - Commercial Strategy to own the commercial and performance framework for delivery operations, analyzing cost per order, rider costs, and logistics economics to drive margin improvements.

You will partner with operations, finance, product, and senior leadership to develop business cases, run pilots, and build analytical dashboards using SQL/BigQuery, Looker, and Tableau.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in operations, commercial management, strategy, consulting or related field.

Responsibilities

• Own the commercial performance framework for talabat UAE operations.
• Monitor cost per order, rider costs, staffing efficiency, and other operational cost drivers.
• Track budgets vs. actual performance and explain material variances.
• Identify where margin is gained, reduced, or exposed to risk.
• Protect rider and logistics partner earnings while improving efficiency.
• Present trade-offs between cost, growth, service quality and customer experience.
• Maintain UAE operations KPI framework from forecast to actual.
• Anticipate performance gaps before they affect P&L.
• Design interventions to close gaps and scale successful initiatives.
• Prepare executive reports and management updates.
• Lead optimization initiatives across rider economics, workforce planning, vendor performance, and service coverage.
• Identify processes creating unnecessary costs or delays.
• Quantify improvement opportunities and build evidence-based recommendations.
• Develop business cases for strategic operational projects.
• Design pilots, define success measures, and scale results.
• Analyze complex financial/operational models to understand drivers.
• Challenge assumptions, test model sensitivity, and validate conclusions.
• Build dashboards and reporting tools to accelerate decision-making.
• Translate data into concise conclusions and actions.
• Use SQL and BigQuery to interrogate data; develop BI reports.
