Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review all accounting entries; investigate variances.
• File UAE VAT returns and corporate tax returns.
• Manage intercompany accounts and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end GL entries and review aging of accounts.
• Prepare financial statements and audit schedules.

Skills

UAE taxation experience

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Fluency in Arabic

Education

Professional accounting qualification or bachelor’s degree specialized in finance

We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager, with experience in UAE taxation.

About the job

• Reviews all accounting entries, compare actual transaction against forecasts and investigate any variance.
• Monthly filing of UAE VAT returns, corporate tax annual return and transfer pricing compliance ; Coordination with consultants for tax compliance in UAE.
• Manages intercompany accounts: monitors receivable and payables, prepares monthly reconciliations, follow ups and dispute settlement.
• Prepares month end GL entries: amortization, depreciation, accruals and bad debts.
• Reviews AP and AR aging of customers and vendors on regular basis and ensure health DSO/DPO.
• Preparation of income statement and cash flow on monthly basis along with balance sheet schedules.
• Review various reconciliation: bank, vendor and customers on regular basis.
• Prepares audit schedules and liaise with the auditor when required.
• Addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.
• Will be responsible for the Kuwait Finance team as well.

About you

• Candidates should have a professional accounting qualification or a bachelor’s degree specialized in finance
• Experience within the logistics sector is an advantage
• Fluency in Arabic is preferred but not mandatory
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of work experience ; A minimum of 2 years of experience in UAE taxation is mandatory
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word and Power Point)
