Job summary

XAD Technologies is seeking a Microwave Link Design Engineer in the UAE to plan and design robust P2P and PMP networks. You will use Pathloss, Mentum, or HTZ Warfare to perform link budgets, frequency planning, and path analyses while coordinating with DU teams and regulatory bodies.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with UAE DU projects, site surveys, and equipment selection, ensuring compliance with UAE telecom guidelines and project SLAs.

Qualifications

• Must have 35+ years hands-on Microwave link design experience with 2+ years in DU projects.
• Experience with UAE DU projects and regulatory requirements is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of link design processes and planning tools.
• Familiar with site surveys, LOS, GIS mapping, and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan Microwave transmission links (SDH/IP/MPLS) with high availability.
• Perform link budget calculations, Fresnel analysis, and path profile assessments.
• Conduct frequency planning and interference analysis with regulators and teams.
• Select radio equipment and transmission lines (Huawei, Nokia, Ceragon, SIAE).
• Prepare design reports, diagrams, and BoQs; ensure UAE guidelines compliance.
• Coordinate with field teams for site surveys, LOS clearance, and alignment.
• Support network optimization, migrations, and troubleshooting during implementation.
• Adhere to DU technical standards and internal planning tools.
