Job summary

Charterhouse Partnership Careers in Dubai is assisting a Jebel Ali-based company in recruiting a Proposals Engineer to support growth. The role focuses on preparing quotations, technical documents, cost estimates, and ensuring a clear scope of supply for each enquiry.

You will collaborate with engineering and sales teams, review P&ID drawings, check proposals for commercial and technical accuracy, and help develop competitive bids aligned with company policy.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Controls.
• At least four years’ experience creating proposals for process equipment in the Middle East Oil & Gas market.
• Ability to communicate technically with engineering staff to resolve design issues.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and identify errors.
• Knowledge of cost estimation and competitive proposal development.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Obtain all necessary quotations for bought out equipment and services, and prepare technical documents and cost estimates.
• Ensure firm proposals have a clear scope of supply.
• Attend bid clarification meetings and formulate answers for approval.
• Ensure proposals are checked commercially and technically.
• Verify that technical design complies with policy and has approvals.
• Submit proposals and communications to clients in line with the strategy.
