Job summary

Tanqeeb in the United Arab Emirates seeks a skilled Proposal Engineer (Oil & Gas) to prepare competitive, technically accurate proposals for fire fighting systems across upstream, midstream and downstream projects.

You will develop scope breakdowns, BOMs, and cost estimates, coordinate with design, engineering and procurement teams, and contribute to risk assessments while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in proposal engineering or design for fire protection systems.
• Experience preparing proposals and technical bids for oil & gas projects.
• Knowledge of NFPA, LPCB, ISO standards.
• Ability to produce technical calculations and cost estimates.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposals, technical offers, tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Review tenders and prepare compliant bid outlines and schedules.
• Develop scope breakdowns, BOMs, and preliminary layouts with teams.
• Produce hydraulic calculations and pump selection guidance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for data and lead times.
• Present value-engineering proposals and cost reductions.
• Maintain version-controlled documentation for submissions.
• Support negotiations with technical input on terms.
