Job summary

Unknown entity in the gas distribution sector is seeking an experienced O&M Proposal Engineer to develop and manage proposals for LPG, CNG and NG distribution projects in the UAE. The role requires a mechanical engineering background, familiarity with gas design, and strong cost/risk assessment skills.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering, sales and project teams to ensure compliant, competitive proposals, review technical drawings and BOQs, and participate in client negotiations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of UAE gas distribution sector experience and hands-on gas design engineering.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills for cost, risk, and feasibility analysis.
• Proficiency with design tools (AutoCAD) and interpreting technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage proposals for O&M projects in gas distribution (LPG, CNG, NG).
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and project teams to tailor proposals to client needs.
• Perform cost analyses, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for LPG, CNG and NG systems.
• Review drawings, BOQs and technical documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct on-site data gathering and support proposal refinement.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and industry best practices for compliant proposals.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to negotiate clarifications during the proposal process.
• Track proposal status and report to senior management as part of BD efforts.
