Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Offshore Installation Manager to lead offshore installation and construction activities for a major project in Abu Dhabi within a PMC framework, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

You will coordinate with the client, PMC team, and EPC contractors, ensuring HSE standards, overseeing contractor performance, and managing interfaces between offshore and onshore teams. Strong PMC, leadership, and offshore construction expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Civil, or related discipline).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in offshore oil & gas projects, with at least 5 years in a senior offshore leadership role such as Offshore Installation Manager or Construction Manager.
• Proven PMC experience on large-scale offshore projects is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of offshore installation methodologies, marine operations, and construction techniques.
• Strong understanding of international codes, standards, and HSE regulations in offshore operations.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
• Offshore certifications such as BOSIET, H2S, and offshore medical are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all offshore installation and construction activities, ensuring scope, schedule and budget adherence.
• Serve as the primary offshore focal point between the client, PMC team, and EPC contractors.
• Ensure HSE standards compliance and promote a strong safety culture across offshore operations.
• Supervise contractor performance and ensure work meets approved procedures, specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate offshore campaigns including heavy lifts, hook-up, commissioning support, and marine operations.
• Review and approve method statements, risk assessments, lifting plans, and installation procedures.
• Manage interfaces between offshore and onshore teams across engineering, procurement and commissioning.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation to avoid delays or issues.
• Provide progress reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management and client.
• Oversee resource planning, logistics, and offshore workforce management.
• Support permit-to-work and SIMOPS coordination; contribute to project close-out activities.
