Job summary

Virtusa is seeking an experienced software engineer in Dubai to join a wealth management-focused team. You will build scalable RESTful APIs using NodeJS/Typescript and GraphQL, integrate secure authentication, and drive CI/CD across distributed services.

You will contribute to API design, containerized deployments with Docker/Kubernetes, and operate within an Agile, fintech-driven environment with a focus on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• Wealth management experience is required.
• Experience in performance tuning, debugging, and monitoring.
• 5+ years coding experience including NodeJS, Typescript, JavaScript and databases.
• Develop scalable and highly available RESTful APIs with NodeJS.
• GraphQL experience.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and distributed services.
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with API gateways like 3Scale.
• SSO/token-based auth (JWT/OAuth).
• Experience with message queues: AWS, Azure, Pushpin, Kafka.

Responsibilities

Experience

• Hands on experience in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of coding experience in NodeJS, Typescript, JavaScript and Databases.


• At least 1 year hands-on in wealth management.


• Hands on experience in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring

Technical Skills

• Excellent knowledge developing scalable and highly-available Restful APIs using NodeJS technologies


• Practical experience with GraphQL.


• Well versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem


• Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers , Kubernetes.


• Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale.


• Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth)


• Possess expert knowledge of task/message queues include but not limited to: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin and Kafka

Functional Skills

• Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing and Documentation standards and practices


• Experience in Banking, Financial and Fintech experience in an enterprise environment preferred


• Experience in Agile methodology.


• Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design of systems across the organization.


• Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies.
