Job summary

Virtusa Middle East FZ-LLC is seeking an experienced backend engineer to design, develop and deploy scalable services for wealth management platforms using Node.js. You will integrate with external data providers, manage complex data transformations, and ensure real-time updates with secure authentication and authorization.

The role requires 5+ years in Node.js/Typescript with a focus on performance tuning and monitoring in an enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of coding experience in NodeJS, Typescript, JavaScript and Databases.
• At least 1 year hands-on in wealth management.
• Hands on experience in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring

Design develop and deploy robust backend services and APIs for wealth management platforms using Node js ensuring high performance and scalability Integrate with third-party financial data providers and internal systems handling complex data transformations and real-time updates Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms to protect sensitive client financial data adhering to strict industry compliance standards Develop and maintain efficient database schemas and queries optimizing for speed and reliability in a high-transaction environment

ExperienceMinimum 5 years of coding experience in NodeJS, Typescript, JavaScript and Databases.At least 1 year hands-on in wealth management.Hands on experience in performance tuning, debugging, monitoring

Technical Skills

• Excellent knowledge developing scalable and highly-available Restful APIs using NodeJS technologies
• Practical experience with GraphQL
• Well versed with CI/CD principles, and actively involved in solving, troubleshooting issues in distributed services ecosystem
• Understanding of containerization, experienced in Dockers , Kubernetes.
• Exposed to API gateway integrations like 3Scale
• Understanding of Single-Sign-on or token based authentication (Rest, JWT, oAuth)
• Possess expert knowledge of task/message queues include but not limited to: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Pushpin and Kafka

Functional Skills

• Experience in following best Coding, Security, Unit testing and Documentation standards and practices
• Experience in Banking, Financial and Fintech experience in an enterprise environment preferred
• Experience in Agile methodology
• Ensure quality of technical and application architecture and design of systems across the organization
• Effectively research and benchmark technology against other best in class technologies
