Job summary

Simone's Tutoring in Dubai is seeking a qualified Music Therapist to deliver therapeutic music interventions to children and young people across home and online settings. This freelance/contract role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to build a private practice within a growing multidisciplinary team.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's or Master's in Music Therapy, DHA/DOH/MOHAP eligibility, and registration with BAMT/AMTA or equivalent, with at least two years post-qualification

We are looking for a qualified Music Therapist to deliver therapeutic music interventions to children and young people with communication, developmental, emotional, and social challenges. You will use the power of music to facilitate meaningful therapeutic goals in home and online settings.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct music therapy assessments and goal-setting sessions

Design and deliver individual and group music therapy programmes

Use active music-making, improvisation, songwriting, and receptive listening as therapeutic tools

Support children with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and emotional difficulties

Engage families in the therapeutic process

Document session observations and client progress

Collaborate with SLTs, psychologists, and other team members

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy

Valid DHA, DOH, or MOHAP licence (or eligibility to obtain)

Registration with BAMT, AMTA, or an equivalent professional body

Minimum 2 years post-qualification music therapy experience

Preferred Qualifications

Nordoff-Robbins or Orff music therapy training

Experience with non-verbal clients and AAC users

Ability to play piano, guitar, or other instruments

UAE Licensing Requirements

This role requires a valid UAE healthcare professional licence issued by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH), or Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant licence before providing services. Licensing requirements must comply with UAE regulations.

We deliver personalised, child-centred services in students' homes, online, and in schools while collaborating with qualified professionals from multiple disciplines.

Compensation
Earn 75% commission on all completed and fully paid therapy sessions, intervention programmes, and approved consultation services.
Commission is based on completed appointments that have been paid by the client.
Payments are processed monthly.
Independent contractor position.
Therapists are responsible for maintaining all required professional licences, registrations, insurance, and legal compliance.
