LEAMS Education in Dubai is seeking a Music Teacher for Primary Music Education to deliver engaging lessons, covering vocal and instrumental training, rhythm, melody, and performance preparation.

You will plan daily and weekly lessons, assess student progress, differentiate activities, and support school performances and cultural events. UAE teaching experience is preferred and August 2026 availability is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music.
  • Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in the UAE.
  • Proficiency in vocal music, instrumental music, or both.
  • Ability to teach and engage primary-phase students.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver Music lessons suitable for primary-phase students.
  • Introduce students to fundamental musical concepts including rhythm, melody, tempo, pitch, and dynamics.
  • Provide vocal and or instrumental instruction according to individual and class learning needs.
  • Encourage students to participate actively in singing, performance, and practical music activities.
  • Develop students ' listening skills and understanding of different musical styles.
  • Use age-appropriate exercises to build confidence and musical expression.
  • Prepare daily and weekly lesson plans with clear learning objectives.
  • Create engaging classroom activities that combine theory with practical participation.
  • Support students in developing basic performance techniques.
  • Organize individual, pair, and group music activities.
  • Prepare students for school performances, assemblies, celebrations, and cultural events.
  • Assess student progress through practical performance, participation, and classroom tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement and development.
  • Provide constructive feedback that encourages continued musical improvement.
  • Differentiate activities according to varied student abilities and confidence levels.
  • Maintain effective classroom management during practical and performance-based lessons.
  • Care for musical instruments and classroom resources used during lessons.
  • Use digital music resources and suitable educational technology where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with teaching colleagues on interdisciplinary and school-wide activities.
  • Communicate relevant student progress to parents when required.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, staff development, and school events.
  • Promote a positive environment where students feel comfortable performing and experimenting creatively.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain student wellbeing.

Role Context

The Music Teacher supports students in developing musical awareness, performance skills, creativity, discipline, and confidence from an early stage.
