Role Context

The Music Teacher will be responsible for developing musical knowledge, practical skills and creative expression among primary-phase students. The role requires an educator who can combine structured classroom instruction with performance-based learning and make music accessible to students with different abilities and levels of experience. Through vocal work, instrumental activities and collaborative performances, the teacher will help students build confidence, coordination, listening skills and appreciation for music while contributing to the wider cultural life of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver Music lessons for primary students in line with CBSE curriculum expectations.
  • Teach fundamental concepts including rhythm, melody, tempo, pitch and musical notation.
  • Develop students ' vocal skills through age-appropriate singing exercises and repertoire.
  • Provide instrumental instruction according to available school resources and personal expertise.
  • Introduce students to different musical styles, traditions and cultural influences.
  • Use practical activities to develop listening, coordination and performance skills.
  • Encourage students to participate confidently in individual and group musical activities.
  • Prepare engaging lessons that combine theory, performance and creative exploration.
  • Support students in developing basic music-reading and notation skills.
  • Teach appropriate techniques for handling and playing classroom instruments.
  • Differentiate activities for students with varying musical abilities.
  • Identify students with strong musical potential and provide appropriate opportunities for development.
  • Support learners who require additional guidance or confidence-building.
  • Organise rehearsals for assemblies, celebrations, concerts and school events.
  • Prepare students for performances and ensure they understand stage and rehearsal expectations.
  • Create opportunities for ensemble work and collaborative music-making.
  • Integrate technology and audio resources where appropriate to strengthen learning.
  • Assess student progress through practical performance, observation and classroom activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student development and participation.

Ideal Profile Candidates

Candidates should hold a bachelor 's degree or master 's degree in Music. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in vocal music, instrumental music or both. The successful candidate should be confident teaching students across the primary phase. A minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in the United Arab Emirates is required. Previous exposure to CBSE Curriculum teaching will be advantageous. Strong classroom management skills are essential. Excellent command of the English language is required. Candidates should be able to create enjoyable and structured lessons that encourage student participation. The role requires patience, creativity and the ability to motivate young learners. Applicants should be confident preparing students for school performances and musical events. Candidates must currently be physically present in the United Arab Emirates. Applicants should be available to join in August 2026.
