Job summary

Alankit in Dubai is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance across building/MEP systems. You will troubleshoot HVAC/AC, electrical and plumbing issues, conduct routine inspections, and carry out minor carpentry, painting, and masonry tasks.

Field/site visits and strict adherence to HSE procedures are essential. The role requires use of hand and power tools and coordination with maintenance teams to ensure safe, efficient operations and well-maintained

Qualifications

• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC/AC, electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Ability to carry out routine preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
• Good fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Basic handyman skills including carpentry, painting and masonry.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of building/MEP systems.
• Carry out HVAC/AC maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Perform electrical maintenance, including lighting, switches, sockets, DBs and basic fault finding.
• Handle plumbing works, including leakage repairs, drainage, water supply lines and sanitary fixtures.
• Inspect equipment and identify technical faults and breakdowns.
• Carry out minor carpentry, painting, masonry and general handyman works as required.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely.
• Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment and facilities remain in proper working condition.
• Respond promptly to maintenance complaints and breakdown calls.
• Follow preventive maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs and replacement of parts.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental (HSE) procedures and use appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other maintenance teams to complete jobs efficiently.
• Ensure the work area is kept clean, safe and organized after completing maintenance activities.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1-5 years of relevant experience in MEP/building/facilities maintenance.
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC/AC, electrical and plumbing maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of general building maintenance and handyman works.
• Valid Manual Driving Licence Mandatory.
• Ability to drive and handle a manual transmission vehicle safely.
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Basic HSE and workplace safety knowledge.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to perform field/site visits and handle maintenance-related tasks.
