Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a hands-on Building Maintenance Technician in Dubai to perform MEP maintenance and general building repairs. You will inspect, service, and repair electrical, HVAC, plumbing and related systems, while also handling painting, carpentry, tiling and finishes.

You will respond to 24/7 call-outs, document work, and ensure compliance with UAE safety standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI or relevant technical qualification with 1–2 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management.
• Practical knowledge of MEP and general maintenance work including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpentry, tiling, plastering, and basic repairs.
• Good troubleshooting skills with the ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic testing equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, physically fit, and able to work independently across different client and project sites.
• Good communication skills, a professional attitude, and flexibility to respond to emergency maintenance requirements, including 24/7 call-outs when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, ventilation, pumps, fixtures).
• Carry out general building maintenance including painting, carpentry, flooring, plastering, tiling, glass & aluminium works.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance; troubleshoot faults and complete repairs to ensure safe operations.
• Conduct routine maintenance of AC and ventilation systems, electrical fixtures, lighting, and water-supply systems.
• Respond to customer maintenance requests and emergency call-outs; communicate issues to supervisors and complete work within timeframes.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials and records; follow safety requirements and UAE standards.

Job description

1. Perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, ventilation, pumps, fixtures, and related building equipment.

2. Carry out general building maintenance and technical works, including painting, carpentry, wood flooring, plastering, tiling, glass, aluminium, doors, windows, and other property repairs.

3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, identify faults, troubleshoot technical problems, and complete repairs to maintain safe and reliable building operations.

4. Conduct routine maintenance of AC and ventilation systems, electrical fixtures, lighting, switches, sockets, plumbing, sanitary fittings, drainage, and water-supply systems.

5. Handle painting and finishing works, including surface preparation, wall repairs, touch-ups, interior and exterior painting, plastering, and finishing.

6. Perform carpentry, flooring, tiling, glass, and aluminium works, including installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and general maintenance.

7. Assist with swimming pool and facility maintenance, including cleaning, basic equipment inspection, water-treatment support, and routine servicing where required.

8. Respond to customer maintenance requests and emergency call‑outs, assess site requirements, communicate issues to supervisors, and complete assigned work within the required timeframe.

9. Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas, complete maintenance reports and job records, and follow company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable UAE standards.

Desired Candidate Profile
