Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in the United Arab Emirates seeks a BIM Technician to develop and update BIM models, produce parametric Revit/Trimble models, and extract data from disciplines. You will ensure compliance with BIM standards and assist in creating accurate construction drawings for project pipelines.

The role requires 1-3 years in BIM, proficiency in Revit, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Tekla, and related tools, with strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 1-3 years of BIM or related industry experience.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, InfraWorks, Tekla (Steel & Precast).

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the BIM model.
• Prepare parametric modelling using Revit and Trimble.
• Develop and update accurate construction drawings and extract data by discipline BIM platform.
• Ensure adherence to project BIM standards and execution plans.
• Create and update discipline-specific BIM modelling content.
• Extract drawings, sections, schedules and BOQs from models with accuracy.
• Coordinate the setup of shared file server with Design Team IT staff.
• Interface with Design Team IT staff to set up portal permissions.
• Ensure BIM is used to test design requirements and criteria for functionality.
• Support clash detection and issue resolution processes.
• Liaise with Design Team BIM and IT Managers to ensure software is installed and running.
• Deploy BIM standards, protocols and CAD resources within the BIM team and monitor compliance.
• Conduct design coordination clash detection to ensure smooth project integration.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop Update the BIM model
• Responsible for preparing Parametric modelling using Revit and Trimble
• Develop Update accurate construction drawings and extract data based on the discipline BIM platform

• Create Update discipline specific BIM Modelling content
• Accuracy and attention to detail Extract drawings sections schedules and BOQs from models

• This shall include interfacing with Design Team IT staff to set up web portal permissions etc
• Ensuring that BIM is used appropriately to test design requirements criteria for functionality
• Support clash detection and issue resolution processes
• Liaising with Design Team BIM and IT Managers to ensure software is installed and operating properly
• Deploys the BIM standards protocols and CAD resources within the BIM team and monitors the compliant information construction and utilization
• Conduct design coordination clash detection are smoothly integrated in the project

Qualifications

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, Infraworks, TEKLA-Steel & Precast.
• Knowledge in other Autodesk products like Navisworks and Plant 3D is preferable.
• Must have an in-depth working knowledge of current BIM versions
