Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Safety Leader to drive the strategic safety agenda across all sites. You will oversee policy development, risk management, and compliance with UAE MoHRE guidelines, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

You will lead a team, coordinate safety projects, conduct audits, and foster a value-driven safety culture through strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Safety, or related disciplines) or other technical or scientific fields with coursework in safety principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• 15+ years of safety experience in an industrial environment.
• 5+ years of experience in a Safety Management leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of UAE safety regulations, including MoHRE guidelines, and familiarity with applicable local licenses or permits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee implementation of safety policies, systems, and controls across all EGA safety departments.
• Guide roles and responsibilities related to safety for EGA Management.
• Ensure safety system audits, updates, and compliance with legislative changes.
• Plan, lead, and coordinate safety-related projects across all EGA sites.
• Conduct safety meetings and inspections to evaluate performance and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and conduct safety and compliance audits.
• Provide guidance to site safety management and ensure regulatory compliance.
