Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking a Sales Manager, MICE, to proactively acquire and grow local and international MICE accounts, including corporates, event organizers and destination management companies. You will drive revenue through prospecting, RFP participation and skilled negotiations, collaborating with Revenue Management and Events teams for seamless delivery.

Role requires 3+ years in luxury hotel sales with proven MICE success, strong communication, and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• 3+ years in luxury hotel sales, with proven MICE experience.
• Strong understanding of the MICE market, event dynamics and group business in an international context.
• Dubai experience is an advantage.
• Proven ability to negotiate, close deals and manage complex client requirements.
• Experience representing a hotel at trade shows, workshops and sales missions.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with strong time management and prioritization.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Proactively acquire, develop and manage local and international MICE accounts.
• Drive MICE revenue through prospecting, account management, RFP participation and conversion.
• Negotiate rates and terms within approved parameters maximizing revenue.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Conference & Events, Reservations and Operations for seamless delivery.
• Prepare and execute account plans and sales strategies to meet targets.
• Provide accurate reporting on pipeline, forecasts and variances.
• Conduct site inspections, client presentations and familiarization visits.
• Participate in client entertainment, trade shows and sales missions.
• Support cross-selling across Mandarin Oriental portfolio.
• Attend weekly and monthly sales meetings and provide market feedback.
• Handle client concerns professionally and ensure satisfaction.
• Other duties as required.
