Qualifications

SENIOR METHODS ENGINEER / PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

An established design and engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Methods Engineer / Principal Engineer to join its Dubai team.

This is an opportunity to take a leading technical role in developing construction strategies for major, complex building projects.

THE OPPORTUNITY

• Develop innovative construction methodologies for major building projects.
• Lead construction sequencing strategies, including 2D/3D planning and 4D simulations using Synchro.
• Drive site logistics planning, crane and hoist selection, and plant studies.
• Coordinate temporary works requirements and specialist design interfaces.
• Identify buildability challenges, construction risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Provide technical support to live projects, resolving complex construction challenges.
• Lead, mentor and review the work of Methods Engineers and VDC Technicians.
• Work closely with senior leadership, planning, commercial and project teams to deliver robust, cost-effective construction solutions.

W HAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years' experience in construction methods, temporary works or technical planning.
• Proven, hands‑on experience with high‑rise and major building projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, cranes, hoists and temporary works.
• Experience producing methodology narratives, method statements and technical submissions.
• Familiarity with Synchro and 4D construction planning.
• Excellent technical coordination, communication and leadership skills.
• GCC project experience highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel across the UAE and Saudi Arabia as project requirements dictate.
