Job summary

CITIC Middle East Contracting L.L.C. seeks a senior Civil Engineer with extensive UAE experience in large-scale, mixed-use and luxury waterfront developments. The role requires coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to drive technical excellence.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of drawings, specs, and shop drawings, with the ability to manage complex construction sequences and document approvals. Proficiency in English is essential; Arabic is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant construction experience in the UAE market.
• Experience with large-scale mixed-use developments and luxury waterfront projects.
• Experience with main contractors and construction stage involvement preferred.
• Proven experience in high-rise buildings and complex developments.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specs, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Hands-on with technical submissions, RFIs, and submittals; coordination with consultants and site teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8-12 years of relevant construction experience, with current or previous experience in the UAE construction market.
• Must have proven experience with large-scale mixed-use developments, luxury waterfront projects, high-end residential developments, or other premium large-scale projects.
• Experience with main contractors and direct involvement in the construction stage of major projects is strongly preferred. Candidates with purely consultancy backgrounds will not be prioritized.
• Proven experience in high-rise buildings, luxury residences, and complex developments, including structural, architectural, and technical coordination works.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and shop drawings.
• Hands-on experience handling technical submissions, RFIs, material submittals, and coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Good understanding of construction sequences, site execution constraints, buildability, and technical problem-solving.
• Experience coordinating civil works with MEP, façade, and other trades in complex developments.
• Familiarity with project documentation, approval procedures, and technical correspondence.
• Able to work independently, take ownership of technical matters, and support site teams in resolving construction-related issues.
• Excellent written and spoken English. Arabic is an advantage but not required
